Food and Table

Deep respect for creativity and the art we can find in the everyday moments is the essence of what became a far-reaching lifestyle business. We started publishing “farm to table” stories in 1991 because Martha was a farmer and a chef. The concept for a how-to magazine started with her books. As a caterer in the 80’s, she would spend days creating extravagantly artful parties and events often-using food she grew and objects she collected. She began to use photography as a documentary tool to save the creative moments. As the magazine evolved, photography made the how-to process artful and instilled a dedication to creativity in the DNA of the brand. The beauty of the handmade craft or recipe has taken hold in today’s very active DIY movement.
